It was posted on 4/8/09. Over a year and a half ago.
A year and a half ago I only had 1 girl in school. Now I have 2 in school, one in 2nd and one in 1st. Now my 1st grader says she has 4 boyfriends. One of which is Justin Bieber.
A year and a half ago President Obama did a surprise visit to Iraq and had recently finished his first year in office.
A year and a half ago, the company I work for was loosing 80% more than we are now. Over the last year and a half we've cut expenses almost 50% and gained some ground on prices.
A year and a half ago, a lady was recovering from wounds sustained after jumping into a polar bear pen at the Berlin Zoo.
A year and a half ago, I was still trying to save my marriage.
A year and a half ago, piracy was still pretty big in the news. Not sure if it still is or not.
A year and a half ago, it was commonplace to have about 10% of what I have in the bank account right now. Not to say that there's much in there now, but it's nice to be able to buy groceries.
A year and a half ago, the whole 'stimulus' debacle was in full force and big companies were under the microscope.
A year and a half ago, I was more angry and far less content than I am now.
A year and a half ago, I didn't know the wonderful people I've met in blogland since then. Thank you all so much for your support.
How about your next 1-1/2 years?
"A year and a half ago, I was more angry and far less content than I am now." That's the best of those.
ReplyDeleteI can't even begin to predict what my life will look like in a year and a half. I'll have a child in college and just one left at home. Beyond that, who knows?
Everything Gets Better (sooner or later.) I expect more of the same, and will be thankful for that.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good 18 months to me! It is amazing how quickly things can evolve.
ReplyDeleteIn 18 months, my daughter will be in college, my youngest son will be in high school, my oldest granddaughter will be in 1st grade. Hopefully, in 18 months DR will have been back awhile and we will be moving forward with our life together. We'll see :-)
Happy 99th Official Post! That's a cute photo at the bottom there.
ReplyDeleteWell I know that in 2013 I'll have my 20 year high school reunion! I might go to that one....if...you know, the Aztecs were wrong.
It's good to look back and see positive change, though the change process is not always easy.
ReplyDeleteWow, 1 1/2 yrs! Congrats!! Love the pic too, cute!
ReplyDeletesecret agent - I agree. As much as we might look forward, we'll never really know what it will be. Thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteSuldog - I'm glad to hear that more of the same would be good.
laura b. - No kidding! But sometimes it feels like it's not fast enough. lol
Tara - Why thank you. 2013 would be my 16th HS reunion, if they had reunions, which they don't. Thank goodness again.
Pamela - It's certainly not easy, but this change is welcome.
Blue Zoo - Thanks! I love it too.
