Saturday randomness

- I'll have interior pictures soon. The kitchen and living room are cleaned up and finally organized, kinda. I'm doing laundry so the bed isn't made yet.

- I was going to make some more shredded chicken, but since I've just finished cleaning the kitchen, I have no desire to cook anything. Looks like a sammich for dinner tonight.

- I'm planning on having a poker game in a couple of weeks. You're all welcome to come! It would have been this weekend had I known I was going to be alone.

- I went shopping for a small round table to replace the larger rectangular one I have now. I think a small (like 3' diam) round table with 4 chairs will fit better in the huge dining room. The rectangular table is fine, but once it's pulled out to let people sit down, the fridge door hits it.

- I'm sitting here typing and wondering what that thing poking out from under the fridge is. I noticed it long ago, but forgot all about it during the 6' trip from the computer desk to the fridge. I wonder if I'll make it this time...? It might be an old sponge.

- It's obvious the people that lived here before weren't into 'detail' cleaning. Gross.

- By 'shopping' for a table, I meant hitting all the thrift stores and a couple of pawn shops. Didn't find anything worth the trouble of buying and moving. So I looked around on Overstock.com. There are a couple of potentials. One of them was a pub table with stools. Hmmm...interesting. So I look around some more on the internet for pub tables and there are a lot of different styles out there. It might look a little weird in this small area though.

- I couldn't steal the picture to show you guys but one of the pub tables was set up nicely for the picture. On the table was a centerpiece, a couple of large wine glasses....and a big bottle of Jack Daniels. Now that's a pub.

- Spent more money today. One of these weekends will be spending free, hopefully. I got some kitchen stuff. A set of measuring spoons, mixing bowls and strainers. When I went to wash the bowls, I noticed a note saying they're not recommended for microwaves. I think they're acrylic. At first I thought "dangit", but then I thought back and couldn't remember the last time I put a mixing bowl in the microwave anyway.


- Among many other things, my parents sent me an old digital pns camera they were having trouble with a while back. They bought a new one, but then thought maybe it the battery went bad. Low and behold, I get a older but still nice 5mp HP camera. The picture above was one that was taken by them, but still left on it. Don't know where it was taken. Here's a better one:



I've pretty much gotten over my lonely funk even though the 3 people I called to meet couldn't. Oh well. Hope y'all are having a great weekend!
