- What’s your favorite “just add water!” food? - Coffee.
- What’s your favorite thing to add vinegar to? - Any Asian food I might be cooking. Which is long overdue... But I don't care for vinegar salad dressings or anything like that.
- What’s something weird you’ve added to normal food? - I can't really think of anything. I've always kind of considered myself a food 'purest'. Not that I eat very 'pure' food (far from it), but I tend to eat it the way it's served. I read somewhere that in some cultures, it's considered highly offensive to add anything to a dish before you at least try it. I've been trying for years to break my kids of the habit of adding ketchup or ranch to everything. It ain't happenin.
- What’s your favorite thing to add whipped cream to? - Ice cream or punkin' pie.
- What’s something you refuse to add anything to, even though most people add something?- Can't really think of anything here either. I even add a bit of sugar to my coffee to take the acid edge off. I tend to take my ice cream by itself, but that's mostly because I keep forgetting to buy chocolate syrup. And I really like pepper, so at some point it usually ends up on whatever savory dish I happen to be eating.

I don't usually have to add salt to a meal. My mom tried a dish my sister-in-law made once, and asked if she had any salt. She was clearly offended and said in a huff, "My food doesn't need salt." Yikes.
ReplyDeleteI do eat fish sticks with ketchup.
#1. Coffee -- Of course! Why didn't I think of that???
ReplyDelete#3. My kids are ketchup & ranch fanatics, too. My son prefers Tony's. Maybe it's a phase. ;)
#4. Yes, punkin' pie comes in at a close second for me.
#1. Oatmeal. #2. Easter Egg Dye! #3. I love A-1 on eggs. #4. Mocha. #5. Pie crust. Can't stand the stuff! I will eat the filling and toss the crust to the dog.
ReplyDeletei love chocolate syrup on my ice cream
ReplyDeleteGood answers :-) I believe I've heard that same thing, about it being rather rude to doctor up your food before even trying it as served.
ReplyDeleteNow, go get some chocolate syrup!
