Letters from the Editor

Dear snow,

You were pretty for a minute, I had my fun sliding around the corner because of you, now you may go away.

Thanks.

Dear UP 844,

I really enjoyed driving along side you today. 70 mph is not too shabby. I'm sure the residents appreciated it as you slowed down to come through town.

Godspeed.

Dear Mr. Lee Child,

I've recently begun reading your Jack Reacher series. I'm only into book 2, "Die Trying" but so far they've been great. Thank you for being a nice prelude to my Sunday nap.

Yours truly,
Sleeping Reader

Dear Beer,

Why do you have to be so mean to my stomach? It didn't do anything to you but finish you off in style. I know, it may not be all your fault, but you are usually the culprit when things don't go well down there.

Sincerely,
Rumblyinmytumbly

Dear Mr. Alan Taylor,

Your picture series have been something I look forward to for almost a year now. Your most recent one on the Asian Games was very cool.

Thanks!

  2. haha! Yes, I like this post :-) Covers a lot very succinctly (something I clearly struggle with!)

Alan Taylor's photo series looks pretty amazing.

  3. That's about the limit of my tolerance for snow, too.

  4. Rumblyinmytumbly,

Beer here, for all of the times we've had together I'd expect a bit more loyalty from you. This is how you repay me? Need I remind of you of the parties and the excitement we've experienced together?

Pfft, I guess I'll just have to find some new friends!

    Beer.

  6. Pamela - Why thank you. I got the idea from another blog. I'm ashamed to say I don't remember which one.

laura - Since it's so popular, I should probably make it a regular feature, huh? Taylors series tend to revolve around current events. Puts a little more expanded perspective on them.

secret agent - The almanac says we're supposed to get a bumper crop this year. Dangit.

Chopperpapa - Deer Beer, I might actually feel sorry for you if I weren't sitting here stinking to high heaven. Beer farts FTL.

Blue Zoo - You and your boys are more than welcome to come get mine. It has snowed at least a little every day this week.

  7. Ha! I loved this post. Very clever. Snow... birrrr. I like the sound of trains. But I don't know that we need super fast trains. Sounds like trouble to me.

Beer farts are no fun at all.

  8. Ananda - Most of the trains that come by here are freight. This one is a huge steam engine that tows 4 or 5 passenger cars. It flys. It's pretty cool to watch it blow past and remember the impact the rails had on developing this country.

It is fun when a lovely lady comments on beer farts. :)
